For the second year in a row, the Lachine Support Group brought 14 of its members to Camp Plein Air Lanaudia in St-Côme. Four full days and three nights, with some experiencing camp life for the very first time. On the schedule: archery, ziplining, Tarzan rope, and rabaska canoeing.
A moment to connect with nature
Being in nature gave us a deep sense of well-being and presence in the moment.
Many took advantage of the watercrafts (paddle board, kayak, pedal boat, and even rabaska canoeing—an activity organized and offered for the very first time) and spotted hundreds of tiny frogs hopping among the water lilies.
Vacation in good company
Evenings around the campfire were also a big hit with members, giving us the chance to gather, share stories, explore each other’s musical tastes, and roast s’mores—a treat especially loved by those with a sweet tooth. One member proudly lit the fire the way his father had taught him as a child, bringing back fond childhood memories. It was moving to see him so engaged in this task.
